yes, it is may day again!  one of very few days we swimmies celebrate!  as most of you human persons know, we celebrate mardi gras, may day, and, of course, most important, Shark Week.  we also usually have random parties on cinco de mayo (coming soon!), your strange halloween day, and the pirahna are adamant about “thanksgiving” now, but you know how it is with pirahna— any excuse to eat!

so today we did some humming in unison, and then there were drinks, and off we went to raise some funds for some human persons in a strike!  and then we did some digging around on plans to defund schools in the city of chicago, which is near to us, and then we did some visiting with our roadie, Bob.

you may remember our roadie, Bob, was in the hospital?  he was riding his bicycle (note:  we are fish, and therefore do not need bicycles) and was swiped by a careless car, and took a tumble, but thought everything was okay.  however it was not.  he ended up with a head injury and was lucky to get some help when he did, though he will never be able to pay for that help.  good thing he wasn’t strictly honest about his identity!  (he never really is, now that we think about it.)

he is still taking things slow, and recovering carefully.  we have strictly banned him from the use of his bicycle thingy, and two friends are giving him rides when he really really needs them.

it would be great if this america human place had universal health care, but unfortunately everyone in government feels that the big insurance companies and their profits are way more important than our roadie, Bob, and the millions of Bobs and Bobinas out there.

but we digress!  all in all, it has been a productive if quiet may day, and now, we are going to PAR-TAY, and everyone knows, there ain’t no party like a communist party!  yay!
